Slide into the festive season with this curated list of Holiday Candles
I’m sure many of you are slowly getting into the Holidays spirit. The festive season is the ideal time to sit back, relax and enjoy quality time with your loved ones. My favourite way to enjoy these true hygge moments is to light up a candle or two to create a memorable ambiance. As a huge Holiday and candles fan, it couldn’t be any more fitting that I create a list of my Holiday candles of choice for the upcoming season.
MALIN+GOETZ Cannabis ($$$) — Holiday Candles
This MALIN+GOETZ is probably one of my favourite candles ever, it’s very unique. While this one is available year round, I find its distinct spicy & herbaceous scents to be particularly appropriate for the Holiday season. The citrusy top notes of fresh lemon and orange remind me of eating a clementine on Christmas day while the oakmoss and patchouli set the ambiance to a very smooth and relaxing setting.
diptyque Paris Holiday Collection 2017 Incense Tears ($$$$) — Holiday Candles
When my friend Eve mentioned the diptyque Holiday Collection, I immediately went to Ogilvy in Montreal and bought it. They didn’t have any samples in store but I purchased the most visually appealing to me: Incense Tears. It smells like if you were eating a cinnamon roll at the Midnight Mass when you were young. There is a strong — but not overpowering — myrrh scent that is supported by a sweet cinnamon touch. Perfect to watch Holiday movies with your love.
IKEA Vinter 2017 Unscented block candle ($) — Holiday Candles
When I saw these in store, I immediately thought of gems or a block of ice and I thought it would fit perfectly in our 2017 Holiday decoration theme. Very minimalistic and good looking. Check them out!
Bath & Body Works Healing Spell ($) — Holiday Candles
Unfortunately, this one is already off the shelves, but there’s already a replacement that is quite similar to it: Clove. With this one, you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of baking the perfect Christmas cookies with the family. The clove and nutmeg are so rich and enveloping, you’ll almost want to eat it.
IKEA Candlestick for 3 candles ($$)
I can’t seem to find this candle holder on IKEA website anymore, but I recently saw it in store. Bought this over a year ago and I light up these candles whenever I don’t want a scented candle but want that candle ambiance. Check out IKEA for more candlesticks or candle holders inspiration, like this beautiful holder from the YPPERLIG capsule collection with HAY
Ville-Marie Bougies Scout ($$) — Holiday Candles
Ville-Marie Bougies is a brand from Montreal that focuses exclusively on hand-poured soy candles. The notes of the Scout candle are smoke, balsam & sandalwood. It recreates perfectly the smell of a warm and crackling fireplace on a cold winter evening.
Very nice kind of candle thank you.
