La Brume Dans Mes Lunettes: An Authentic Afternoon Tea In Montreal
Located on St-Zotique St. in Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie — a lively borough north of Plateau Mont-Royal — La brume dans mes lunettes is a cute coffee shop that offers great coffee and amazing tea. Their coffee beans are from one of my favourite roasters in Montreal — Kittel — while their tea selection is from Fortnum & Mason.
While the spot is pretty popular amongst students and families, it is also known for its Afternoon Tea. As a huge fan of cucumber sandwiches, I decided to go ahead and try it with my friend, fellow travel blogger and Afternoon Tea veteran, Marie-Eve, on a snowy Wednesday afternoon.
Of course, there are several places in Montreal where you can have an authentic Afternoon Tea — like Cardinal Tea Room and Ritz Carlton — but this one wins on being the most casual of them all. No need to dress up to the nines.
The Afternoon Tea Menu — La brume dans mes lunettes
In the afternoon tea menu, you’ll find different arrangements of the best sandwiches and pastries around. As we were quite hungry, we went for Sa Majesté La Reine to fulfil our hunger.
In this 3-tier stand, you’ll find a large selection of sweet and savoury items such as cucumber sandwiches, smoked salmon mini bagel, duck confit crepe, scones, butter tarts and madeleines.
