Comforting Brunch in Hip Neighbourhood at Nouveau Palais

I recently discovered Nouveau Palais through their food truck — Winneburger — at the Sid Lee Collective Block Party. I was so delighted by the taste of their cheeseburger that I knew I had to try their physical location in the Mile-End. I went with my boyfriend on a sunny Saturday afternoon and then we went vinyl hunting at our favourite record store: Sonorama.

The Brunch Menu At Nouveau Palais

The brunch menu is available exclusively on weekends starting at 10 AM. We both got the Lumberjack Sandwich. It is basically a cheeseburger with a sunny side up egg in between along with a huge portion of breakfast potatoes. I don’t know what’s the secret behind their patty, but it’s way too good. There are also several other tempting options — like the chicken & waffle — that I’m going to make sure to try next time I hit the restaurant.
