Taking the wheel to Quebec City & l’Isle-aux-Coudres
Summer is made for road trips, right? Recently, I had the chance to test the Ford Edge Sport for a weekend so I decided to go a weekend getaway to Quebec City and Charlevoix with my boyfriend.
My favourite features in the Ford Edge Sport
- This humongous Panoramic Vista Roof has to be one of my favourite features. I think all cars should have one. In the Edge, it goes from the very front all the way to the back of the vehicle.
- As a huge Apple fan, I’ve been wanting to try CarPlay for a long time. Luckily, Ford Sync 3 supports it so I was able to try it. The integration is very good and you almost feel like you’re in an Apple Car! However, I would like CarPlay to let the user choose between Apple Maps and Google Maps, because, let’s be real, Apple Maps is not at Google Maps level.
- The Enhanced Active Park Assist with Forward and Side Sensing Systems is definitely one of my favourite features too. I had already tried in the Ford C-Max Energi and they have definitely improved the system since. It is especially impressive to see a SUV of this size manage to park in parallel —
and this on both sides.

Visiting l’Isle-aux-Coudres with the Ford Edge Sport
Thanks to the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, we were able to explore a little bit further than with a normal car. Here is the Ford Edge looking good on the beach at Isle-aux-Coudres.
Ending the weekend at Île d’Orléans near Quebec City
Because no weekend to Quebec City is complete without a visit to Île d’Orléans, we ended up going there on our way back to Montreal.
