In need of relaxation? Hit the spa, ASAP!

It’s February — one of the shortest but harshest month of the year in Quebec — and everyone needs a little moment of relaxation. I think going to the spa is one my top activity when I need a break from my daily routine. I recently discovered this very nice urban spa — called Strom Spa — and it’s everything I’ve always been looking for in a spa.

What is Strom Spa
Strom offers a thermal experience in an urban area but a very natural setting. You will be alternating between hot & cold baths to activate circulation and relax muscles. Within a few hours, you’ll feel so relax you’ll be wondering why you never went to a spa.

While I went to quite a lot of spas, I have to say Strom is possibly amongst my favourite because it’s in a beautiful setting, it’s very accessible from the island of Montreal and you’ll be right next to Verdun where you’ll find a handful of amazing restaurants — like Restaurant Su, Blackstrap BBQ and Comptoir 21.
Services
Indeed, like every spa, Strom also offers massages, treatments and different packages. You can check out on their website every other service they offer besides the thermal experience.
How to get there
If you don’t own a car and you want to save a few bucks on your ride there, you can easily use the STM Green Line and get off at Station LaSalle. From there, order an Uber and it will cost under 10$. Use my promo code to knock a few bucks off your first Uber ride!
Three locations
In for a little day trip outside of Montreal? Strøm has two other spas located in Mont St-Hilaire and Sherbrooke. I would highly recommend going to Sherbrooke because you’ll also have the opportunity to discover this town’s bustling food scene.
Useful information
I highly recommend bringing a water bottle that you’ll be able to refill on site. Also, don’t forget to bring sandals as you’ll be walking outside all day in the water — it might get slippery in some areas.
