New Brunch in Montreal at Cafe Melbourne
The newest addition to Montreal brunch scene is Australian, located on the Plateau and is also very good and generous. This new breakfast haven goes by the name of Cafe Melbourne and you might have heard about them because they’ve been serving coffee and authentic Australian grilled cheese for the past few years.

What’s the menu like at Cafe Melbourne?

As it is a pop-up style brunch, the menu is subject to change and available until sold out. My friend Mayssam who wrote an article about it came last weekend and I couldn’t find what she ordered on the menu this week. However, I got the Elle Macpherson which consisted of an avo toast — three slices of sourdough bread topped with smashed avocado, grilled halloumi, macadamia sukkah, roasted tomatoes and a soft-boiled egg. Needless to say, it wasn’t a regular Instagram avo toast and it was really good.

I also got the Lucky Charms infused latte which was less sweet than I expected. If you ever had cereal milk at Momofuku, it’s basically the same, just a little less sweet.

Also, expect a little waiting time and expect the place to be jam packed and very sauna-like. I wouldn’t recommend bringing your bathing suit whatsoever.

How to get there?
The easiest way to get there is to get off at STM Station Mont-Royal and walk. There’s also the line 55 bus that stops almost right in front of it.
